To All The Boys Star Joins Netflix Comedy Series Boo, Bitch

Lana Condor has signed on to star in and executive produce Netflix’s upcoming teen comedy series Boo, Bitch. Condor played mutant Jubilee in X-Men Apocalypse before her breakout turn in the 2018 hit Netflix rom-com To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. To All the Boys: Always and Forever, the final installment in the To All the Boys movie trilogywill premiere February 12 on Netflix, just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Although Condor will soon say goodbye to the Netflix film franchise and her beloved character Lara Jean, she’s slated to play another high-schooler in the Netflix original series Boo, Bitch, according to Variety. The eight-episode supernatural comedy will follow a high school senior who, after deciding to rewrite her narrative and start leading a more adventurous life, realizes she’s a ghost. Lauren Iungerich (Awkward, On My Block) and Erin Ehrlich (Awkward, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) will serve as co-showrunners and executive producers, and are also credited as co-creators alongside newcomers Kuba Soltysiak and Tim Schauer. A release date has yet to be announced.

Boo, Bitch certainly boasts an interesting concept, although it’s not the first Netflix original series to tackle teen subject matter with a supernatural twist (think Stranger ThingsI Am Not Okay With This, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina). The success of its predecessors – save I Am Not Okay With This, which desperately deserved a second season – obviously bodes well for Boo, Bitch. Audiences are suckers for a good ghost story, so assuming the script is solid, Netflix could have another winner on its hands.
