Bradley Walsh berated a contestant on The Chase saying they needed to start answering questions correctly.
Lynn, Tammy, Johnny and Arthur were on the ITV teatime game show hoping to win big and leave with thousands in their pockets.
Unfortunately this was not the case and they left with viewers calling their efforts ’embarrassing’ as they took to Twitter in droves to share their frustrations.
One viewer had pointed out on social media: “They pick the good one’s of old episodes for a reason, so it’s either going to be one where the contestants do well, or there’s a massacre #TheChase ”
It had started well when Lynn beat Chaser Shaun Wallace to the money pot and took £8,000 back to the team.
But the team soon began unravelling when teaching assistant Tammy took her turn.
A failure to answer any questions in the cash builder meant that she had nothing in the pot when she faced The Dark Destroyer.
With worries about her chances of making it through to the final chase, Tammy infuriated viewers by accepting a negative offer of losing £1,000 from their total.
Answering just three questions correctly meant that Tammy was in danger of being caught.
Bradley Walsh berated Tammy and implored her: “We got to start getting some right Tammy, come on.”
It was not to be though and she was soon on her way home after being caught, leaving her team a person down for the final.
Tammy was soon joined by Johnny, who also crashed and burned, leaving just half the team to fight for the £8,000 jackpot.
Setting a low bar of 12 for Shaun to chase down, the final pairing passed up five opportunities to peg him back before Shaun finally ended their hopes of taking home the prize.
Viewers were not impressed, with one tweeting: “FFS what an embarrassment #thechase ”
Another ranted: “No wonder the country is doomed… #TheChase . First rule of quizzing , have some basic knowledge.”
