Love Island first look with Laura Whitmore – but it’s hinting at a huge change

Love Island is back – and producers have certainly been grafting.

The first look trailer dropped today – featuring stunning new mum Laura Whitmore grinning as she smashes a Love Island fire alarm in pillar box red lipstick and outfit.

But already fans are saying they could be being mugged off – as the advert, featuring new tagline ‘this is not a drill’, is filmed in the UK which could mean less Hidden Hills and more blighty.

Presenter Laura is seen striding along a UK high street with a mallet and shades before smashing the fire alarm with a huge grin.

Producers have yet to confirm where the villa will be this year but it is unlikely to be in the UK as a crucial part of the show is it’s topical climate and swimwear.

Laura Whitmore looks stunning in the trailer

The ITV2 dating show is set to start on Monday, June 28 at 9pm.

Fans of the dating series will no doubt rejoice at the news after last year’s series was cancelled for the first time in the show’s history due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.

A source said ” Love Island bosses are determined to return to the villa this summer and have worked hard to make it happen.

“Although they are confident the series will go ahead in the original location, there are still concerns over rules suddenly changing. However, at the moment it’s looking good.”

New catchphrase

Fans of the show will be pleased to hear that the series looks set to kick off in June as planned.

Host Laura Whitmore is back in action and has already been seen filming some of her introductory scenes in England.

Her husband Iain Stirling will be joining her on the island along with their baby daughter, who they welcomed earlier this year.

While some features remain the same, it’s been reported that ITV bosses are hoping to make the 2021 series the most inclusive yet.

Sources say staff have been looking out for bisexual islanders for the first time in the show’s history.

The broadcaster will be hoping their flagship ITV2 show returns with a bang after they were forced to pull the plug last year in the pandemic.

Love Island returns this summer on ITV2 and ITV Hub and The Masked Dancer starts tonight at 7pm on ITV and ITV Hub
