Good Morning Britain’s Richard Arnold was given a Sexy Beasts makeover in honour of the bizarre new Netflix dating series.
The showbiz reporter went behind the scenes of the new show, which launched last week, to see what it takes to transform the singletons taking part into weird and wonderful creatures.
The series takes a bunch of good looking contestants and disguises them using heavy make-up and prosthetics – making them unrecognisable so they can get to know each other without being judged on their appearance.
Spending three-and-a-half hours in a make-up chair, Richard was given a brand new face as he was turned into a centaur.
This included a bullring through a giant nose, frizzy blonde hair, and prosthetics giving him a furry face with defined bull-like features.

Showing off the makeover, Richard said: “They basically stick it to your face, so when you’re chewing, everything moves.
“You can animate it, and you can understand how those prosthetic actors actually get into the role because the minute you’re putting that stuff on, you just embody the character.”
In the new series, the unlucky-in-love stars try to prove “looks aren’t everything” by undergoing the Hollywood level makeover.
They could be turned into anything, with everything from a beaver to an alien being given the opportunity for romance on this series.
Taking on a new persona, they are then joined by three potential suitors – also dressed up like creatures and animals – and head out on a series of dates.
For the first date, they go for drinks at a London bar in a speed date type setting, after which one of the three suitors is eliminated.
After that, they head off on a more intimate and fun date – which could be anything from bowling to a day at an amusement park.
Once the two dates are over, the leading dater gets to pick their final choice, with their faces finally revealed for the world to see.
Initially dubbed The Masked Singer meets First Dates, Sexy Beasts has not reached the successful heights hoped for by Netflix, with it failing to reach the Top 10 most watched shows in the UK.

Despite the trailer alone going viral for the wacky premise, critics also panned the show, saying ‘it wasn’t nearly as much fun as it looked’.
Writing for The Mirror, critic Sara Wallis said of the show: “In 20 minutes, it’s wham, bam, thank you ma’am. No time to get to know anyone, no time to admire the masks, no time to care.
“At the end, in the ‘tunnel of love’, the only hope of a thrill was that the unmasked singleton and their date would not remotely fancy each other.
“But ultimately, they’ll all go back to their Instasuperficial lives and it doesn’t matter. It’s billed as having animal attraction, but I’d say this latest abomination is just plain beastly.”
Catastrophe star Rob Delaney narrates the series .
Netflix took on Sexy Beasts, which originally aired in 2014 on BBC Three, with a two-season order earlier this year.
It’s believed the second batch of episodes will drop later this year.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV.
