Geordie Shore ‘to welcome outsiders into house’ for very different new series

Geordie Shore could have a whole new host of cast members as they do things a little differently for the new series.

It’s said that outsiders are moving into the famous party house for the first time ever as MTV works around the pandemic.

The reality show usually follows the cast as they enjoy wild nights out in Newcastle, but with pubs and clubs shut for the moment and strict social distancing rules in place, bosses are said to have come up with a solution to allow them to go ahead with filming.

And much like the most recent series of Celebs Go Dating, it’s said that a group of outsiders will move into the house after quarantining to party it up with stars including Nathan Henry, Chloe Ferry and James Tindale.

The series will be filmed before the big 10 year reunion, which was put on hold when travel restrictions meant the stars couldn’t head over to Colombia as planned.

A source told The Sun : “With the Geordie Shore 10 year reunion on hold, MTV decided to put out a normal series to fill the schedule. And while the usual cast are raring to go, there are concerns about how they are going to fill the time with just them.

“Because of the ongoing restrictions, they can’t go on wild nights out like they used to. And the idea of having them locked up in the Geordie Shore house screams ‘boring’. One idea which has been well received involves bringing outsiders into the house.”

They added: “All of the cast going in are single and it could be perfect to pair them up with some hot new friends, with the idea that romance could blossom.”

Former X Factor star Amelia Lily, who joined the cast last series, won’t be returning to the show, it’s been reported.

Ex housemate Vicky Pattison recently opened up about the real reason she decided to quit the programme.

She said on her podcast The Secret To…: “I had to leave Geordie Shore. It didn’t grow. It was still just a bunch of people who were no longer in their twenties getting p***ed four and five nights a week.

“For some people that’s their reality, and that’s absolutely fine, but for me I definitely wanted something different.”
