EastEnders’ Denise battles to bond with Raymond and tracks down his adoptive dad

EastEnders’ Denise Fox struggles to bond with her baby son Raymond in upcoming scenes after taking him back from his adoptive parents.

She tells a concerned Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) bout her battle, and he offers to help pay for a specialist for her son.

He also suggests to Denise (Diane Parish) that she contact someone from Raymond’s past to help.

Denise remembers that Raymond’s adoptive father was a pastor at a Pentecostal church so she decides to start there.

Jack, Denise and Raymond head to Raymond’s family church and Denise is delighted to see Raymond happy.

After the service, Denise speaks to the pastor and asks for his help to answer some of her questions about Raymond’s family.

Meanwhile, Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) encourages Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) to get his kids back home as they continue their unlikely friendship.

Meanwhile, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) comforts the kids in the park, as they reveal to her that they are missing their dad, having just lost their mother, Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer).

She brings them home to see him and Gray softens. She offers to help look after them when he gets them back.

Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) tries to get Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden)on board to help her with a job, and manages to find some leverage to persuade him to help her.

Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) is keen to get Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) out of her place but Ian is yet to tell her about his falling out with Kathy Beale.

Later, Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) tells Sharon exactly what happened when he fraudulently remortgaged her cafe.

He was supposed to be taking care of Max Branning’s money during his divorce to Rainie Highway (Tanya Frank).

But when Max demanded it back and with interest – he used his mum’s cafe without her permission.

Will this be the final straw to make Sharon kick Ian out for good?
