Shirley Ballas caused a stir with a racy boyfriend joke in her appearance on Family Fortunes.
The celebrity special for the gameshow returned on ITV for Boxing Day, once again presented by celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo.
Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley, 60, was present alongside family members and her partner Daniel Taylor.
Responding to a question about her judging techniques from Gino, Shirley answered: “I like to scan everything and judge from the bottom up.”
“And I like to give positive critique,” she added to a laugh, before adding: “As well as constructive criticism.”
When asked if she had taught Daniel any dances, Shirley added: “I actually taught him the Waltz, and some cha-cha.”
Gino then asked Shirley if Daniel was good at the cha-cha with a swinging hip motion.
“He’s got a lot of rhythm. Particularly when he’s had a glass of wine,” she said cheekily.
Daniel then delivered a cheeky grin and the innuendos did not go amiss with viewers at home.
One Family Fortunes viewer tweeted: ” #FamilyFortunes Shirley Ballas’s husband appears to be happy daft”.
“He’s got a lot of rhythm especially after a few glasses of wine … ok Shirley too much info already thanks #FamilyFortunes,” commented another viewer.
Meanwhile, another Family Fortunes fan penned: “Shirley Ballas…. down there for dancing, up there for….er….. dancing too!! #FamilyFortunes ”
Finally, one social media user concluded: ” #FamilyFortunes Living for Shirley Ballas’ cougar vibes! [laughing emojis]”.
Speaking to The Mirror recently, Danny teased that wedding bells could be on the way for him and the Strictly judge.
Asked if marriage was on the cards soon, Danny smiled: “It is a great institution. So watch this space.
“You just don’t know what could be in the pipeline.”
Meanwhile, Shirley reflected on how the pair’s relationship had grown over the last year.
“We got to spend the whole of lockdown together,” noted Shirley. “So we really got to know each other on a more personal level. We used to see each other once a week. Now we see each other every day, so we learned a lot about each other.”
Family Fortunes is available on catch-up on ITV Hub.
