Emmerdale couple Zoe Henry and Jeff Hordley exchanged rows in the Woolpack to helping kids get stuck into gardening for a special BBC lockdown show earlier today.
The pair, who play Rhona Goskirk and Cain Dingle in the ITV soap, are avid gardeners hope that they have been able to bestow their knowledge onto youngsters.
As part of the third lockdown, the BBC has organised BBC Bitesize Lockdown Learning sessions for children on CBBC and BBC Two.
On CBBC at 10.05am every day this week, celebs have been invited to be part of their Celebrity Supply Teacher segments, which today involved the Emmerdale couple.
Sharing a clip of themselves gardening, Zoe tweeted yesterday: “Tomorrow, as part of BBC Lockdown Learning, there is another chance to watch Jeff and I waffling on about growing your own veg.
“We’re not experts, just enthusiastic amateurs, but you might pick up a few tips! On @cbbc at 10.05am.”
The pair have previously opened up about their allotment, and how much of a big part it is in their lives following Jeff’s Crohn’s diagnosis when he was just 18 years old.
Speaking previously about pottering in the garden, Zoe told Fabulous: “We have an allotment and it’s so therapeutic to have your hands in the earth.
“We’re mindful of what we eat, but watching our diet isn’t about being on TV, it’s more about general well-being, as Jeff has Crohn’s disease.”
Zoe also revealed that their children are becoming adept at whipping up something tasty in the kitchen.
She said: “The kids love cooking with us. The other night Violet made a dal from scratch!”
