Love Island’s first disabled star Hugo brags about bedroom skills in 2019 clip

Love Island 2021 contestant Hugo Hammond certainly has a lot of confidence when it comes to his skills in the bedroom.

In an unearthed clip from 2019, Hugo can be seen sipping on champagne at a house party as he brags about his sexual performance.

The PE teacher, 24, is seen boasting to a group of his friends about sex as he says: “I’m a sha***r, a fine s*****r. I’m a sha***r, my friends.”

Hugo was born with a club foot and is Love Island’s first ever disabled contestant.

He studied sports coaching at Oxford Brookes university, and according to those who knew him, he considered himself a “BNOC” – Big Name On Campus – and put partying before his studies.

A friend told the Mail Online: “Hugo really thought he was the bees’ knees and aimed to make a name for himself at university.

“He’s bragged about his female conquests but they certainly weren’t the ones bragging afterwards.

“Hugo was a divisive figure to say the least, some people liked him, while others thought he was just a posh k******d.”

As well as being a PE teacher in a secondary school, Hugo is also a brilliant cricket player, stepping out for his country at international level.

He revealed: “I’ve actually played cricket for England PD (Physical Disability). I’ve been to Bangladesh, Dubai, I’ve been everywhere to play cricket.

“I absolutely love my job,” he added. “I love all my sports. It’s great to be able to pass on that enthusiasm to be physically active to the younger generation and hopefully they feel the same about me teaching them.”

Hugo, who comes from Hampshire, is one of 11 singletons heading to the popular Spanish villa to look for love.

Hugo is hoping to find romance in the villa after spending a year in lockdown. He said: “I’ve been single for a while now. With the current climate, it’s been really hard to get back into dating. I saw it as an opportunity to have an amazing fun summer and put myself back out there.”

Hugo has already been tipped as one of the favourites by bookmakers, along with Shannon Singh.

According to Betfair, model Shannon, from Fife, is the 5/2 favourite to be the top girl in the dating series while PE teacher Hugo has the same odds for top male.

Shannon admitted that she joined the ITV2 show as it is a “once in a lifetime opportunity”.

“I used to be a glamour model when I was 18/19,” she confessed. “I loved those days, I’ve got nothing to be ashamed of, they were my glory days.

“Now I’m more on Instagram / YouTube. I’ve done a bit of commercial modelling. I can DJ as well.”

Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 28th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
