Emmerdale viewers think they have sussed out how David Metcalfe will discover that his girlfriend Meena Jutla is a murderer.
Meena (Paige Sandhu) killed young Leanna Cavanagh earlier this month but everyone thinks she fell off the bridge by accident.
Despite pretending to help David’s son Jacob (Joe-Warren Plant) through his grief, Meena has really been taunting the teenager and is even wearing the ring he gave to Leanna (Mimi Slinger) on a chain around her neck.
During Thursday’s episode, David (Matthew Wolfenden) asked Meena to move in with him and Jacob and started helping her pack up her belongings.
As he left the room, Meena was seen taking the chain off and glancing at the ring before popping it in one of her tin boxes.
When David walked back in, he made a comment about Meena having a first aid box.
“Oh well you’e got your first aid tin, that’s all that matters,” he joked as she packed up her stuff.
“We might need one in a minute if you carry on,” Meena replied.
Emmerdale fans were quick to comment on the scene and took to Twitter to share their theories.
“Now we know what is going to happen. Jacob will need access to a first aid kit, and then he will come across that diamond ring #Emmerdale,” one posted.
Another added: “#Emmerdale well I think we know someone will come across the ring at some point but rather than get rid of it she wants to keep it as a trophy.”
A third viewer suggested: “#emmerdale So David has seen Meenas “first aid” box, he’ll hurt himself, look for a plaster in that box and find Leannas ring, he will question Meena, she will kill him and Jacob will realise it was Meena who killed Leanna and David. Thank you and goodnight!”
And a fourth commented: “LOL!!! Meena’s psycho trophy cabinet!!! #emmerdale.”
However, it’s unsure when the truth will come out and it seems there could be a few more victims before it does.
Soap expert Sharon Marshall confirmed on This Morning this week that Meena will get away with the killing ‘for ages’ and will even come across as a hero.
“She’s helping Liam, she’s consoling him, she’s coming across as a hero. She’s got that nurse’s uniform on. Everyone trusts her, everyone likes her,” Sharon said.
“And I can tell you with this murder – oh it’s just a warm-up. She’s going to be great, great fun.”
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
