Emmerdale bosses have had a spanner thrown in the works after Katie Hill tested positive for Covid.
Filming for the ITV soap has been thrown into chaos after the Sarah Sugden actress, 18, was forced to isolate after returning a positive coronavirus test.
The show has been struggling with rising cases as of late and Katie is now the latest star to be struck down with the virus.
The 18-year-old actress was taking part in a fan Q&A on Instagram when she revealed she was isolating.
When one of her followers asked how she was doing, she replied: “I’m good thank you! But have been better haha.
“Currently have Covid so having to isolate.”

Whilst a source added to The Sun : “Health and safety is so strict on set so it wasn’t a huge disaster but Katie’s filming schedule has obviously been moved around so she can recover.”
Katie has been on the soap since 2017 and her character is currently in the midst of a big new storyline, which sees Sarah battle through a string of health issues, having had a heart transplant in the past. Recently, she has been desperate to find out more about her donor and their family.
She told Inside Soap : “I’m so pleased that Emmerdale is revisiting Sarah’s dramatic past.
“Sarah has a very problematic medical history, and doctors have told her that she might have a shortened life.

“So with Leanna dying and Granny Faith’s mystery illness all her fears are definitely heightened… she’s consumed by utter fear.
“Sarah is determined to learn about [her donor family], and I can tell you that she’s really determined. Sarah starts investigating things for herself, and she does find someone in the family who agrees to meet her.”
Katie knows Leanna’s passing has had a serious impact on Sarah but has also made her a “stronger person”.
“I think Leanna’s death definitely has an impact on Sarah and leaves her worrying about her own life and how something like this could happen to her,” Katie told Metro.co.uk.
“She has seen and been through so much from such a young age now I think that definitely will have made her a stronger person and to look at certain situations in a mature way.”
Sarah has become very aware of her own future after battling some serious health issues.
She added: “After all that has been going on around Sarah, it makes her very aware of her own life expectancy.
“She then becomes very interested in finding the family of the person who gave her a second chance at life, she is hoping to track down her donor’s family to meet up with them to thank them and find out about her donor.”
