Coronation Street viewers were left open-mouthed after tuning into Friday’s episode and learning how much Fiz Brown and Tyrone Dobbs’ home is worth.
A few weeks ago, Tyrone (Alan Halsall) agreed to sell the property as Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) cracked on with her plans to move in with her boyfriend Phill.
The latest instalment of the ITV soap continued with the fallout after Joseph ran away from home, and at one point, Fiz exited the search party to get a valuation of the flat from a real estate agent.
The flat was actually left to Tyrone by his honorary parents, Jack and Vera Duckworth, but Fiz told her ex that she wants to sell the property in order to be able to contribute to the renovations of her new home with Phill.
The real estate agent was impressed by the humble Weatherfield home and told Fiz it would be priced from £150,000 – £175,000.
Fiz was delighted by the valuation, but Corrie fans were in hysterics and quickly took to Twitter to comment on the unrealistic figure.
One person posted: “”I’m no estate agent but that place is not worth £150,000 it’s stuck in the 80s.”
Another viewer tweeted: “£150,000 I don’t think so,” while a third person added: “£175 as opposed to £175k.”
Someone else tweeted: “£175,000 for Fizz’s house? I knew that Co-Op and Costa coffee were signs Weatherfield was being gentrified!|
Another person posted: “I know house prices have gone up but seriously, £175k for Fizz and Tyrone’s house?!!”
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday on ITV and ITV Hub.
