AJ Pritchard teases I’m A Celeb stint as Strictly ‘wouldn’t let him do things’

AJ Pritchard has teased that he could be taking the leap into I’m A Celebrity after Strictly Come Dancing prevented him from doing “a lot of things”.

The 25-year-old dance sensation, who dramatically quit the BBC dance show earlier this year, has hinted that it was the right time for him to leave in pursuit of other experiences.

Although the official I’m A Celeb line up is yet to be confirmed, AJ has long been rumoured to be among the cohort.

Last week, the dancer was also reportedly spotted at a secret photoshoot with a number of other celebrities rumoured to be among the lineup.

Speaking to The Sun about his blossoming television career, AJ claimed that Strictly wouldn’t allow “a lot of things” to happen.

“I did four years of Strictly, which I absolutely loved, but it was definitely the right time for me to venture into new things,” AJ told the publication.

In his interview, he also added that he was a firm fan of Nicola Adams and her professional dance partner Katya Jones.

“I’m really excited to see Nicola perform because, out of all the celebrities, she just seems to have this infectious smile.

He added: “It’s such a positive thing. She represents so many different people.”
