Friends and fans of Rebecca Sarker have praised the Emmerdale star for her performance in reality sports show The Games.
The Halifax-born actress, 47, won a bronze medal in the reality programme winning the weightlifting competition and finishing runner-up in the 400m along the way.
And she treated her Twitter and Instagram followers with a cosy picture of herself after a job well done.
Lying exhausted on her bed following an intense few days, she was dressed in just a pink top and blue, spotted underwear which she captioned: “Out like a light! Bottom line, @thegamestv was an amazing experience. Highs, lows, exhaustion, exhilaration. All’s well that ends well.”

Another put: “You smashed it girl – loved the way you kept looking back (you was way in front) – big up and get your man to massage them thighs…..well done!”

Rebecca plays Manpreet Sharma in the ITV soap and some of her co-stars rushed to congratulate her on her achievement in the show where she only finished behind singer and ex-footballer Chelcee Grimes and Mel B’s daughter Phoenix Gulzar-Brown.
Kevin Mathurin plays Manpreet’s lover interest, the village vicar Charles Anderson, and he penned: “Thank you, Jesus”, while Paige Sandhu, who played her serial killer sister Meena Jutla in Emmerdale, turned up at The Games to offer her some moral support.

Ahead of appearing on The Games, Rebecca said her two boys “would probably never forgive me if I didn’t take part”. She added she was “honoured and surprised” to be asked to take part and that the show was “an opportunity to learn new skills and new disciplines, increase my fitness and challenge myself”.
