Several Love Island viewers were unable to stomach watching Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish’s date on the show on Friday, and it had nothing to do with the couple’s recent drama.
Liberty and Jake called time on their seven-week romance on the show on Thursday, but Friday’s episode saw the pair still head off on their final date.
It was the date of dreams for Liberty, on a boat on the ocean – but it was pretty bad timing given they had split up just hours earlier.
But it certainly wasn’t something viewers were keen on watching, as the pair began talking on the waves.

It wasn’t the chat or the awkwardness that put the viewers off though, and instead it was the choppy water and the boat moving up and down on the waves that left them feeling queasy.
Many fans confessed they actually could not watch the scenes as they felt seasick, and as though they were on the boat with them.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “I can’t even watch this date and it’s not because of them but just seeing the way that boat is rocking is triggering my sea sickness.”

Another commented: “I can’t watch the tv right now because that boat is rocking up and down.”
A third agreed: “Ok but I actually can’t watch this boat scene. It’s making me sick.”
Meanwhile a fourth fan said: “Anyone else feeling sea sick after watching that boat,” as a fifth tweeted: “I feel sea sick just watching this.”
Another said: “I feel sick just watching them bob up and down.”
The tweets just kept coming too, with one reading: “Anyone else feel sea sick ? Feel like I’m on the boat too.”
Meanwhile, there was a shock double departure on the show following the date as Jake and Liberty decided to leave the villa.
Deciding they were over for good, the pair called time on their romance and their time on the show in emotional scenes.

Heading back to the villa, Liberty told their friends: “We’ve just both come to the conclusion that obviously that in this moment in time, it’s best for us to go our separate ways.”
Jake added: “Right now, our heads are just… yeah…” with Liberty saying: “We’re just not getting on.”
Their fellow Islanders sobbed as they realised the pair were leaving immediately, before giving them a heartfelt sendoff out of the villa ahead of the final.
Love Island airs every night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
