The children of Sex and the City are all grown up with Miranda’s son Brady and Charlotte’s daughter Lily being shown as teenagers for the first time.
The last time we saw Brady Hobbes and Lily Goldenblatt onscreen they were very young, but the actors playing the kids have now been spotted on the set of the show’s upcoming reboot.
Pictured filming alongside their on-screen mothers, the show’s young characters looks remarkably older since the last time with saw them in the second Sex and the City film in 2010.
Actress Cathy Ang, who plays the role of Lily York Goldenblatt, wore a stunning floral dress that matched her fictional mother Charlotte York’s similar emsemble as they filmed scenes for the highly anticipated And Just Like That… on the streets of New York.
Her on-screen sibling Rose, portrayed by Alexa Swinton, joined the outing too, rocking a fun twist on the family floral dress code with black Converse shoes and a tuxedo T-shirt over her long, formal dress.
Not far away from the ladies in his life, dad and husband Harry Goldenblatt, played by Evan Handler, could also be seen outside Lyceum Theater on the Upper West Side of Manhattan on Saturday afternoon
The role of Lily was originally played by twin sisters Alex and Parker Fong during the series which aired from 1998 until 2004.
Chinese-Filipino actress Cathy will take over the role for the forthcoming HBO continuation of the franchise, And Just Like That… which was announced last year.
Also on set, and looking a lot older than the last time we saw them, was Miranda Hobbes and Steve Brady only child, Brady Hobbes.
Originally played by child actor Joseph Pupo, Niall Cunnigham will now be portraying the son of the married couple in the highly anticipated new offering of the show.
Standing as tall as his on-screen mother, played by Cynthia Nixon, Brady looks far more adult since we last saw him in the films as he chats to the lawyer outside the theatre during the new scenes.
David Eigenberg, who stars as Miranda’s bartender husband Steve, has also returned to the Sex and the City family, looking sharp in a suit as he shot his scenes with his on-air family.
While many familiar faces have been spotted on set recently, including actress Bridget Moynahan, who played Mr Big’s ex-wife Natasha, one key character will be missing from the HBO reboot.
Kim Cattrall will not be reprising her role of fan-favourite Samantha Jones after publicly admitting over the years that she was reluctant to continue the PR expert’s story, and also being involved in a bitter fued with co-star Sarah Jessica Parker.
It’s not yet known how And Just Let This… will address the absence of the Liverpool-born star but one thing we do know about the new series is that Carrie Bradshaw is going through her first divorce.
Earlier this month, Page Six obtained a leaked script which hints at major drama between the shoe-loving columnist and her commitment-shy husband Big, played by Chris North.
The publication reports that the pair, who finally tied the knot in the first Sex and the City movie, are in the middle of a bitter split.
It’s reported that Sarah Jessica Parker ‘s character tells her friends: “I was taping the podcast, I was washing my hair. Yes, I wasn’t eating or sleeping, but at least I felt good about my marriage. Now I’m just one of the wives he was taking care of?”
