Corrie teases danger for Jenny as she grows closer to rumbling Sharon’s lies

Coronation Street’s Jenny Connor has been on to Sharon Bentley ever since she returned to the street earlier this year.

But it was her recent visit to a prison, the same prison she was at visiting husband Johnny Connor, that set off alarm bells.

Since then she has not trusted her at all, especially with her staying with her stepmother Rita.

Next week though her meddling to get to the truth could land her in serious danger, as she tries to work out what she’s hiding.

Johnny mentions knowing her from the prison, but doesn’t mention anything to do with the prisoner scheme Sharon has lied about.

Of course viewers know Sharon was visiting her villainous nephew Harvey, who is out to get Leanne Battersby and her son Simon Barlow.

But after managing to convince Jenny she was there as a mentor, it looks like her lies are about to return to haunt her.

Jenny enlists the help of Gary Windass who was also recently in the same prison, with him still knowing people in there.

Asking him to find out any information on why Sharon was really there, she is left stunned when Gary confirms the link between Harvey and Sharon.

Realising the truth and what this could mean, she will no doubt be tempted to warn residents or confront Sharon for the truth.

But could this land her in deadly danger given Harvey isn’t to be messed with?

It comes amid a horrifying kidnapping plot, with Harvey’s heavies abducting Sam in order to get to his dad Nick Tilsley.

Nick is in witness protection with ex Leanne and Simon, but the fact his son Sam is missing brings him back to the street – which is exactly what Harvey wants to happen.

Will Nick be able to get away, and can he save son Sam before it’s too late?

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
