A new Coronation Street trailer has revealed the moment Nick Tilsley learns his son Sam is in grave danger.
The youngster was kidnapped in heartbreaking scenes during Friday’s episode of the ITV soap, with viewers left worrying for his safety.
In the fallout, Nick will leave the safety of his witness protection compound to try and find his missing son, with his loved ones concerned when he doesn’t return home.
Sharon Bentley, who is the aunt of evil drug dealer Harvey, allowed for him to be taken after growing close to him, just to try and get information on Nick’s whereabouts.
It’s Nick’s ex Leanne Battersby and her son Simon Barlow who Harvey and his heavies are after, with Leanne having helped the police arrest him recently.
Harvey is now in prison, with Leanne and Simon preparing to testify against him in court after he dragged Simon into dealing for him – with Leanne giving information to the police to get him sent down.
He wants Leanne and Simon to stay silent, even threatening to have them killed, warning them not to speak out against him in court.
The new trailer sees Nick locked in a cab, only for the driver to be confirmed as one of Harvey’s heavies – with him soon issuing a chilling threat.
Confirming the danger Sam is in, he quickly tells him he will never see him again unless he does as he says – threatening Sam’s life.
The man in the taxi tells him that Nick needs to stop Leanne and Simon talking in court, otherwise he’ll never be reunited with Sam.
A mortified Nick can only listen in horror as the man threatens his whole family if he goes to the police, or doesn’t do as he asks, with the guy telling him he can’t protect his son or his family.
But will Nick follow orders, or can he find a way to help Sam?
The scenes unfold next week so viewers will have to stay tuned to find out what happens.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
