Marvel gives the people what they want and releases the full version of Baron Zemo’s dancing scene from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Marvel’s second scripted Disney+ series is officially halfway through its run, with three episodes down and three left to go. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier follows Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) as they embark on a new mission in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame. In addition to confronting new threats, the two must battle their own internal conflicts. It would help if they could also try to get along.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 3 saw Sam and Bucky travel to Madripoor along with Captain America: Civil War villain Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl), whom Bucky helped break out of prison. Though some have (rightly) questioned the smarts behind working with a criminal mastermind, there’s no denying Zemo brought some levity to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. His moves on Sharon Carter’s (Emily VanCamp) dance floor in particular earned a great deal of attention from fans, as the quick fist-pumping moment sparked plenty of laughs.
Upon learning a significant portion of Zemo’s dance was cut from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, fans campaigned online for Marvel to release the full scene. Lo and behold, they have listened. Marvel posted the complete version of Zemo’s dancing on social media for everyone’s enjoyment. Even more hilariously, the studio shared an hour-long version of his dance to YouTube. You can see both videos down below.
Zemo’s dancing on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has become something of a viral moment, almost similar to WandaVision‘s “Agatha All Along” theme. It’s amusing to see what moments stick out the most to fans when it comes to the Disney+ shows, and it makes one wonder if the next series on the docket, Loki, will have something similar. Both Zemo’s dancing and “Agatha All Along” don’t even have much impact on the plot; they’re just genuinely amusing scenes that have captured the internet’s attention.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 4 will drop on Friday and hopefully progress Sam and Bucky’s journey in an exciting way. The previous installment ended with the surprise arrival of Dora Milaje member Ayo (Florence Kasumba), who has traveled from Wakanda with the purpose of taking Zemo into custody. In short, Zemo won’t have much reason for dancing from this point on. It’s a good thing then that he’s already given audiences an excellent show.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier continues Friday on Disney+.
