Made In Chelsea saw emotional scenes on Monday night as Zara McDermott poured out her heart in a letter to ex Sam Thompson.
Love Island star Zara and MIC royalty Sam called it quits in one of the show’s dramatic splits after it emerged that she’d cheated during the early days of their relationship, during her X Factor : Celebrity stint.
The saga has played out on our screens, Zara shooting what could be her final shot as she puts pen to paper in a last stab at rekindling what she had with Sam.
She’d earlier chatted with Sam’s mate Reza Amiri-Garroussi, who reminded Zara that Sam had got his whole family to watch her X Factor performances.
So Zara writes down her feelings, and sends Reza off with the note to give to Sam.
Later during the episode, we get a look at Sam reading through Zara’s letter.
“Since you have been away I have been doing a lot of reflecting about a lot of things,” it begins.
“I have been reflecting on my life before I met you, on our life together and also on the kind of life I want to live.”
Zara goes on to apologise again, brand herself “immature and stupid” and say there’s “no excuse” for what she did.
We find out later on that Zara hasn’t heard a peep from Sam since she sent Reza off with the letter.
“I feel like s**t,” she declares upon meeting Reza and Ruby.
Then the waterworks start as Reza tells her Sam is “completely out” of their relationship, hinting that there’s no chance of them starting again.
It’s not the first time Zara’s tried to win him back.
She told how she wanted to “turn back the clock” as Over and Over Again by Nathan Sykes played over footage of her and Sam.
And though the montage failed to win Sam over, Zara was met with praise for being so emotionally honest.
“There aren’t enough words to describe how I feel about you. You are my favourite person, my truest love. I made this video montage for you of our memories over these last few years,” Zara wrote in the video.
“I want to create a million more memories like these throughout the rest of my life… with you. I am sorry our journey hasn’t been the easiest, and I am forever wishing I could find a way to turn back the clock.
“Remember… you are everything. You are my moon and all my stars and everything in between.”
