It’s been a long wait, and at times there have been fears it wouldn’t appear at all this year, but I’m A Celebrity is back for 2020.
The heat of the Australian jungle has been replaced with the less tropical climate of North Wales in late November, with 10 celebrities ready to enter the camp and be put through their paces over the next few weeks.
Hosts Ant and Dec will welcome viewers – and campmates – to Gwrych Castle near Abergele, although the celebrities shouldn’t expect any form of luxury in the 200-year-old building.
Instead of the famous jungle shower, this year’s stars will have to make do with a watering can above a rusty bath, while the beds are in a room with no heating and smashed windows. And, with night-time temperatures expected to plummet towards freezing, thermals are set to be a must this year.
On top of that, the castle is said to be haunted by the Countess of Dundonald, who died in 1923, and her “tyrannical husband” the Earl of Dundonald.
What time is I’m A Celebrity?
Fans will get their first view of the new-look camp on Sunday night.
The opening show starts at 9pm, and runs until 10.35pm on ITV1.
After that the show will be 9pm every night, except on Tuesday when it starts at the slightly later time of 9.15pm.
I’m A Celebrity normally lasts for three weeks, so if that happens again it means the final will be over the weekend of December 5-6.

Hollie Arnold MBE
Paralympic gold medalist can normally be found on the athletics field, where she’s a champion javelin thrower. She hopes to inspire people wants people to “look and see that I am scared but I am giving it a go.”
Beverley Callard
For more than 30 years she’s played Coronation Street icon Liz McDonald. While she says her role will be the camp’s cleaner, she says suggested she’s not as glamorous as her Corrie character.
Victoria Derbyshire
The BBC News journalist says she can boil rice but can’t cook, and describes herself as a good listener who enjoys talking to people. However, she’s one of the series’ long shots at 20/1.
Sir Mo Farah
Olympic legend Mo Farah is a long way from his comfort zone, swapping his running gear for an I’m A Celebrity campmate’s outfit. “I am most looking forward to meeting different people, getting challenges thrown at you and working as a team.”
Giovanna Fletcher
Author and podcaster Giovanna Fletcher is one of the favourites to win, and says she’ll be the camp’s “mum, friend and giver of hugs”.
Vernon Kay
The TV presenter and wife of Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly has said he will “one hundred per cent cry”, and that he aims to keep people’s spirits up in camp.
Jordan North
Radio 1 DJ Jordan North says he has “so many phobias”. Despite worrying about letting people down, he says he wants to give the trials his best and hopes Radio 1 listeners will get behind him.
Jessica Plummer
The camp’s self-designated little sister and chatterbox, the former EastEnders star has said her family have been asking her: “You are such a scaredy cat and you are so precious about your luxuries, what are you signing up for?!”
AJ Pritchard
Former Strictly Come Dancing professional says he’s excited to be “on an even better show” than the BBC One hit he’s left behind. He’s warned viewers he’s now a fan of heights or confined spaces.
Shane Richie
EastEnders’ Alfie Moon is 5/2 with bookmakers to win the series. When asked about phobias, he replied: “Human faeces. I’m hoping camp toiley will be enclosed.”
