Strictly: Rose makes savage joke about Giovanni’s ‘smelly breath’
Strictly Come Dancing’s Rose Ayling-Ellis had fans in hysterics as she made a savage dig at her dance partner Giovanni Pernice over his “smelly breath”.
The EastEnders star, who plays Frankie Lewis in the BBC soap, danced the waltz to Ellie Goulding’s How Long Will I Love You tonight and scored a high 39 points from the judges.
And she had viewers of the series laughing at their screens as she gave away too much information about Giovanni when they were receiving their scores.
They were quizzed by host Claudia Winkleman on their second dance – an Argentine Tango – and what fans could expect to see from them.

Telling Claudia about the intimate dance, Rose said it was “passionate, traditional, and very, very close.”
She then added: “And smelly breath,” and waved her hand under her nose.
Giovanni looked shocked and jokingly turned his back on her, which made her laugh.
He then turned back and pulled her in for a hug.
Fans of the show found the moment hilarious, and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One praised: “Omg this girl is so beautiful to watch. She still amazes me what she can do. Then she cracks me up by saying smelly breath. I love her I love them together! Final final final.”
“P***ing myself at rose saying gio has smelly breath,” a second laughed.
“I LOVE ROSE. SHES SO BEAUTIFUL AND ELEGANT THEN COMES OUT WITH “SMELLY BREATH”. SHES GLORIOUS,” another added.
Tonight, Giovanni had nothing but praise for his dance partner.
As their second routine came to an end, Giovanni praised her for giving him an “unbelievable” time on the series, before praising her character.

He told her in front of host Claudia Winkleman, on why she deserved to win the show: “In my opinion, you have been working harder than anybody else, even including myself.
“Also, it’s just Rose. You are just happiness, you are joy, you are everything and I think a lot of people at home will understand that one as well. I think you well and truly deserve to be there.
“Thank you for making this experience unbelievable for me, thank you.”
Rose welled up, and responded: “No, you have made it unbelievable for me, yeah, thank you.”
