Love Island may have many, many more weeks to come, but for one couple it might seem like they have already fallen desperately in love – just four days after meeting.
Brummie waitress Liberty Poole, 21, was partnered with hunky 24-year-old engineer Jake Cornish, from Weston-super-Mare, at the first coupling ceremony of the 2021 series on Monday.
And after just days together, the couple have admitted they cannot wait to lay eyes on each other every morning when they wake.
In scenes set to air during Thursday nights’ episode, Jake and Liberty are seen confessing their feelings for each other inside the Beach Hut – and later to each other.

Speaking in the Beach Hut, Jake is shown explaining what he likes most about Liberty, saying: “I think Liberty’s eyes, they draw me in.”
While Liberty admits in her own Beach Hut confessional: “In my whole life, I’ve never connected with a guy that well and for it to be that instant. We’re like two peas in a pod.”
While speaking with Liberty on the sundeck, Jake tells her: “I can’t wait for a cuddle later on.”

While the blonde babe herself says: “Same. You are comfy to be fair.”
Liberty says to Jake: “I’m actually a confident girl but you make me a bit nervous. I don’t know why,” – with Jake then replying: “I love that. That’s a compliment.”
The pair then share a kiss as Chloe and Kaz watch on in awe of the couple.
Speaking upstairs in the dressing room, Liberty says to the girls: “I can’t stop smiling,” – while Chloe Burrows says: “You’ve got the feels!”
The fact that Jake and Liberty have already set the foundations for a secure relationship has not gone unnoticed by fellow Islanders.
On Wednesday night’s episode, Shannon Singh became the first to be dumped from the Island following a shock twist that sent her packing just 48 hours after arriving.

But even in that time, she saw the spark between Jake and Liberty – and thinks they could even go all the way to the final and win the crown.
Discussing her fellow contestants during a post-eviction interview, she said: “I think the ones that can stand the test of time are Jake and Liberty.
“I think Aaron and Sharon could have a little spark, I don’t really know yet.

“The rest of them, I think it’s going to change. I don’t think it’s going to be Faye and Brad as a couple until the end. I think people are going to come in and their heads are going to be turned.”
And Shannon shared her advice for future contestants, saying: “Honestly, do you. Do whatever you’re comfortable with, even if you feel an idiot doing it. Don’t do anything you’re going to go to bed and think, ‘I wish I’d never done that or said that’. Then you can really walk away from the experience and be like, it is what it is.”
