Fans of Good Morning Britain were left highly amused by a startled barista fleeing the camera today.
Viewers of the ITV breakfast show will be used to chuckling at the banter between hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid but today’s outing gave a different laugh.
In a news segment in Newport, Wales viewers saw a report from ITV news reporter Nick Dixon, 49, where he discussed Welsh businesses opening up once more after the nation’s recent firebreaker lockdown.
In the background of the segment, a barista could be seen preparing a beverage.
However, when she looked up and realised she was on camera, she quickly turned and fled away from view.
Naturally, her swift actions were noticed by viewers at home who quickly took to social media to share their amusement.
One amused viewer wrote on Twitter : That woman in the cafe soon ran when she realised she was on camera [laughing emojis] #gmb “.
Another tweeted: “That girl was making a coffee and ran off [laughing emojis] #gmb “.
Meanwhile, a different viewer penned: “That woman bolted it when she saw she was on camera in the coffee shop haha #gmb “.
Elsewhere, another social media user wrote: “The coffee-making woman just made me howl #GMB “.
Finally, one Twitter user revealed: “Laughing at this woman on #gmb#goodmorningbritain who realised she was on camera too late [laughing emojis]”.
The moment came as this morning also saw Piers Morgan hit out at Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex for being photographed laying a wreath on the graves of Commonwealth soldiers for Remembrance Day.
The outspoken journalist called the moment a “distasteful PR stunt” that “stuck in his gullet”.
While Susanna defended the couple for documenting their tribute – as how else would anyone know they did it – Piers was not convinced.
“Oh please, do me a favour, he could have issued a statement,” he shot back.
Good Morning Britain airs on weekday mornings on ITV.
