Frankie Bridge shared a story about being let down after a year of lusting over a stranger on Friday’s Loose Women.
The former pop singer – who is now happily married to former footballer Wayne Bridge – opened up on how she was left disappointed when she finally exchanged words with a man she had been admiring on her train commute before finding fame.
During that chat, that took place as the panel discussed their views on hand-holding, Frankie, 32, explained how she noticed the man and thought he was handsome.
She then spotted him on a night out and one of her friends knew the guy and decided to introduce the pair – but it was nothing like Frankie expected.
Frankie told: “I had this guy called ‘train guy’ I saw him on a train for years and thought he was so hot.
Finally, I met him – one night out my friend was like ‘oh I know him’ and introduced me to him and I was like ‘Oh my God I’m meeting hot train guy’.”
Sharing how she was not impressed, Frankie added: “He didn’t meet up to any of my expectations as it had been a year where I had dreamt up this ideal man.”
Frankie explained: “He looked great and even when he spoke it wasn’t even what I imagined and he would try to hold my hand, and I am quite an affectionate person, and I just hated it!”
Sharing on how the romance was a no go from the start, she giggled as she told: “To me, that is a signal of we are together and we are in love and that is not where I was at!”
Frankie found her dream man in ex sporting star Wayne.
They began dating in late 2011 and married in a private ceremony in 2014 and they now share two sons together – Parker and Carter.
Earlier this week, Frankie shared a sweet throwback photo of her and her husband Wayne.
The brunette beauty took to Instagram to post the snap of footballer Wayne giving her forehead a little kiss.
“Came across this picture of @waynebridge03 and I yesterday… from 2012!!” she captioned the post.
“Pre babies and marriage… we had no idea what our future was going to look like…so many amazing memories together… look how young and in love we are. really made me smile, he’s a gooden that one #love #marriage.”
