Bradley Walsh was left highly unimpressed on Thursday evening’s instalment of The Chase.
The ITV game show host, 60, shared his disbelief after four hopefuls decided to take the low offer – one after another.
As the contestants stepped-up to take on Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, they all decided to take the easy route instead of risking it for a higher cash prize.
The episode kicked off with Irish hopeful Rory – who turned out to be the son of Hollywood star, Brendan Gleeson – bagging the low offer of £1,000.
After he was quizzed by Bradley, it seemed Rory’s decision to go with the safe option, set the bar for the rest of the game.
Fellow teammates Anne, Keziah and Richie all then opted to go for the low offer of £1,000 which was offered to them by The Beast.
When final contestant, Richie, stepped up to take on the Chaser, Mark teased: “Richie either way, whatever you do next will make television history.”
Richie was offered a tidy sum of £73,000, but in the end, he opted for the low offer of £1,000.
Revealing that it’s the first time in the show’s history that this has happened, Mark quipped: “That’s the first time that it’s ever happened anywhere in the world, every team member going low, you’ll be YouTube sensations.”
Meanwhile, baffled host Bradley remarked: “I don’t think this team is here to win money.
“I think they just want to beat The Beast.”
Naturally, fans flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on the ‘historic’ episode.
“Why would you bother going on the show if you’re not even going to even try?” questioned one unhappy viewer.
“Ugh, this show is so boring when they always go for the low offer,” another complained.
Meanwhile, a third shared: “Lol Bradley isn’t one bit happy with these four scaredy cats.”
The Chase continues tomorrow at 5pm on ITV
