David Schwimmer couldn’t quite believe his ears when Boy George shared his age on Thursday evening’s instalment of The One Show.
The Friends star, 54, tuned in from New York to chat to host Jermaine Jenas about the new series of his hit show, Intelligence which returns to UK screens this week.
Although he was there to chat about what fans can expect from the side-splitting Season 2 of the hit show, the Ross Gellar actor was side-tracked by Boy George, admitting that he’s a ‘huge fan’ of the music legend.
“Wow, I’m a bit starstruck to be honest,” David gushed.
“I have been such a huge fan of yours for as long as I can remember.”
Boy George, who is set to celebrate his 60th birthday this month, went on to admit that he was ‘beyond flattered’ by the Friends’ star’s kind words, but David couldn’t quite get his head around the singer’s youthful looks.
“60? Are you kidding me?” the stunned star quipped.
And it wasn’t just David who was taken back by Boy George’s age revelation.
The One Show viewers flocked to Twitter to share their disbelief over the singer’s age.
“So, you’re telling me Boy George is 60? He looks better than I do and I’m only 28,” quipped one spectator.
“Boy George is sixty? I literally cannot believe that. He’s only six years older than David but he looks twenty years younger than him,” another suggested.
Meanwhile, a third shared: “Mad to think that Boy George is 60. But he has been around forever, to be honest.”
Ahead of his 60th birthday on June 14, Boy George has shared a new single, ‘The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread’.
