Ant and Dec reunited an army officer with his young sons in a touching moment on ITV tonight.

In the latest episode of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, viewers were treated to moving scenes.

This Saturday’s instalment saw Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly surprise young boys Corey and Zach as they said they were due to deliver them their boarding passes for their win of a Takeaway Getaway.

Ant said: “We’re going back to Corey and Zach now…we forgot to give them their boarding pass earlier.”

Addressing the family at home over video link, Ant said: “Sorry about that boys.”

Dec also apologised and said: “In fact, we’re going to give it to you now. In fact, we’re not going to do it, someone very special is going to bring your boarding pass in for you. Here he is.”

At that moment, the boys’ dad entered the room in his army uniform to a highly emotional response from his sons who ran to embrace him and many tears were shed.

“Thank you for sharing this special moment with us,” commented Dec.

Naturally, viewers at home were incredibly moved by the scenes and took to social media to share their thoughts.

One person tweeted: “as if the takeaway getaway isnt emotional enough.. @antanddec reunited the boys with their dad and honestly has me sobbing @itvtakeaway “.
