Denise Van Outen proved that the show must go on as she didn’t let a dislocated shoulder stop her skating in the first show of Dancing On Ice.
The 46-year-old TV personality amazed viewers by performing just days after a horror fall in training and pictures show how hard she hit the ice in the accident.
Denise danced with her professional skate partner Matt Evers to Rollin’ On The River, in a routine that had to be changed at the last minute by Matt so that Denise’s injury could be considered.
Viewers saw Denise crash to the floor in a trailer before her dance, with Matt falling down on top of her as the dislocation happened.
Denise skated with her shoulder heavily bandaged as fans praised her commitment to the show on Twitter.
One tweeted: “I’m so proud of Denise for going out there tonight. she definitely is the definition of ‘the show must go on’”
Another added: “Go on Denise, smiling through the pain!! So so good!”
Denise had reportedly decided that she would perform, no matter what, even after pics on social media saw her with an oxygen mask on as she was treated in hospital.
A show insider told The Sun: “Denise had a huge scare, but she’s determined not to let a dislocated shoulder stop her from performing on the launch show.
“She’s had huge support from her skating partner Matt Evers. He’s going to be on hand to make sure tonight goes to plan, despite the difficult circumstances.”
