Denise Van Outen has revealed she is “struggling” with Dancing On Ice training and has fallen over every single day.
She told Andi Peters, who was standing in on Lorraine Kelly’s show: “I’m just so scared.
“If I’d have done this show 10-15 years ago, I’d have had so much confidence.
“But the older you get, the more aware you are that if you have an injury, it takes you twice as long to recover and I’m just petrified all the time.”
She added: “When I was younger and I was a kid, I did ballet, so I grew up learning to point my toes.
“That’s the worst thing you can do on ice because you hit your toe pick and go flying.
“I have literally fallen over in every single training session, I’m the clumsiest out of all the celebrities, it’s ridiculous.”
Denise revealed she believes the show will have to abandon the usual live studio audience when the shows begin, because of the lockdown restrictions.
Denise moved in with her skating partner Matt Evers so they could bubble together, and so he lives with Denise and her partner Eddie Boxshall.
Denise gushed: “He’s so lovely, he’s been on the show since day dot – he’s such a support and he’s got so much patience.
“The way he’s been teaching me, honestly, I take my hat off to him, because some days he must feel like banging his head against a brick wall.
“It just doesn’t go in, I’m really struggling.
“The performance side of it I love. I’m a bit of jazz hands, but downstairs, the feet are all over the place.”
She added: “He’s been living with us which is lovely, because we’d met Matt before the show and spent a bit of time with him, we said, ‘Look, why don’t you come and bubble with us?’
“We love having him here, he’s part of the family now.”
* Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV at 9am
