Dawn Ward announces Real Housewives of Cheshire exit after 12 seasons on show

Dawn Ward, 47, has shockingly announced that she is leaving the Real Housewives of Cheshire.

The bolshy character – who has often been embroiled in fiery drama with her fellow castmates in the seven years of being on the show – shared her decision to say goodbye to the series on Twitter on Friday night.

Dawn – wife of retired footballer Ashley Ward – says that she is leaving the ITVBe series after 12 series to pursue projects with her family.

In a statement, uploaded on social media, she explained: “Having been on the real housewives of Cheshire for almost 7 years & 12 seasons, I’ve had the most incredible journey, not just me, but my whole family. It really has been amazing for us.”

“Season 12 has now come to an end and filming has finished. It’s been difficult this season with the pandemic but the cast and our amazing production team have pulled it off again, it’s been fun!

“Everyone who knows me knows I’m all about my family, so I’ve decided that after 12 seasons on the show I would like to concentrate on projects with them.

“I am so grateful to ITV, Monkey Kingdom and all the amazing cast over the years past and present!

“Most importantly the amazing fans for their incredible support.

“It’s a great show and will only go from strength to strength as it’s done since season 1.



She shared the message on social media and said she wants to work on projects with her family

“I want to wish everyone involved on the show the best of luck and I can’t wait to tune in for season 13! Once again thank you so much for all your support, you really have been incredible. Exciting times ahead”

Interior designer Dawn made her first TV appearance on the RHOC on the series’ debut episode back in 2015.

She has made headlines on numerous occasions – including being found guilty of assaulting singer Sinitta in 2016.

Next year, Dawn is set to face trial over racially aggravated harassment and possession of cocaine charges.

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star appeared in court in October, this year, after she was accused of committing the offences at Euston Railway Station on October 29, last year.



Dawn – who first appeared on the show in 2015 – is a mum of four girls with her retired footballer husband Ashley Ward

Dawn – who denies all charges – is accused of racially aggravated intentional harassment towards two people, Jake Jacobs and Sam Jacobs, at the London train station.

She was also charged with possession of a class A drug, namely cocaine.

She first appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on September 10 this year but was later called again on September 28 for a plea hearing.

The TV personality is mother to four children – Aston, Charlie, Taylor and Darby – who she shares with her athlete husband.
