EastEnders fans are in for a shock romance this Christmas as two of the most unlikely Albert Square residents share a passionate smooch.
Honey Mitchell, played by Emma Barton, and cheeky chap Jay Brown, who is played by Jamie Borthwick, get close this festive season as they finally give in to flirtation.
While she’s busy planning for the upcoming Christmas community event, Honey becomes increasingly stressed while trying to juggle an array of tasks.
As luck would have it, just when she’s got everything organised, the fridge decides to break, meaning that she’s forced to cancel the event which she worked endlessly on.
Struck down with an overwhelming sense of failure, Honey gives up on the heartwarming community get-together.

That is until Jay swoops in to help in a bid to impress his new crush.
The smitten lad ultimately saves the day by hiring a team of caterers to dish out the food.
Finally, back to her bubbly self, Honey can’t thank Jay enough and things end with her planting a kiss on his lips.

The pair can’t pull themselves away from one another, and the innocent peck leads to a passionate smooch.
In true EastEnders fashion, their kiss is dramatically interrupted by Billy Mitchell who walks in just as things heat up between Honey and Jay.

Billy is left speechless, and as Jay begins to explain the situation, his dear friend storms out.
Will they be able to patch things up before Christmas? Or will Honey and Jay continue their love affair behind Billy’s back?
