119: Young Adult (2011)

“He will be mine. Oh yes, he will be mine.”

Hey. There’s a film, right? And then I review it, right? Listen, yeah? Good.

Film number 119 out of 366 is the latest from the awkwardly indie-fied filmmaking duo Jason Reitman and Diablo Cody. Leaving Juno to care for her kids (she’s probably got nine of them by now, the sexy blighter), the pair’s latest flick Young Adult exorcises more Americana indie with the embittered fiction writer Mavis Gary, played expertly by the criminally beautiful Charlize Theron. The spoilt-rotten character goes on an unflinching quest to win back an old flame. Rekindling a fire or burning down the bush? Have a listen to my conclusive review and hear what I think. Don’t worry, I am right.

IMDb it.
