113: A Cat in Paris (2010)

It’s a scientifically proven fact that if you don’t like hand-drawn animation you have no soul. There. I said it. It’s out there, you deal with it.

Today’s film is the charming little ditty A Cat in Paris from French tag team Felicioli and Gagnol. Garnering an academy award nomination last year for best animated feature, it pulls my forlorn, ‘austerity-sustained’ heartstrings with ease. Hopefully it will give you a little cuddle too.

1) Ignore my proclamation in the audio where I introduce this as film number 115. It’s 113. I’m an idiot.

2) Do have a look at the drawn duos shorter, overall more satisfying efforts with short film The Corridor. Get that right here.

3) If you’re interested in this whole animation thing (you certainly should be) then have a look at Felicioli and Gagnol discussing this film and their craft in more detail here.

Admin over. Listen to my bullet review below.
